Start with a free bill check
Before paying, run up to your three latest bills through our free check. In seconds, it estimates whether a current plan may cost less and by roughly how much—so you can decide whether a full report is worth it.
We price every supported plan we can against how you actually use electricity—then show you the lowest estimated-cost options for your home. Not a standard 1,000-kWh example. Your real usage.
Four steps, a few minutes of your time, and one clear report at the end.

Connect Smart Meter Texas for automatic retrieval, or upload a CSV yourself. For automatic retrieval, Smart Meter Texas holds a five-day authorization that expires automatically after five days. We compare plans against your home’s real usage—not generic 500-, 1,000-, or 2,000-kWh examples—and delete the retrieved usage after processing.
We price each supported Power to Choose plan against your real seasonal usage, including delivery fees, monthly charges, and bill-credit thresholds. A full year gives a stronger basis than benchmark examples, although future weather and household changes can still affect what you use and pay.
Plans are sorted by lowest estimated cost, so you can weigh short, standard, or long terms. End date matters too: a plan ending in summer may leave you shopping when available prices are higher. You choose the provider and enroll directly; we never switch you.
I ran 148 current plans against a full year of my home’s actual usage. These were the lowest estimated-cost short-, standard-, and long-term options in that report.
$35.72 estimated lower
$21.22 estimated lower
$2.84 estimated lower
Before I asked anyone else to trust this, I ran it on my own home—148 plans scored against my real usage, nothing staged. I think my best option is the three-month plan because it is about $36 less for the bill shown and ends in November, when I can shop again outside the summer peak. The longer plans also cost a little less, but they end in August, when available replacement prices can be higher. That is the point: the lowest advertised rate is not always the smartest plan, and the report shows both estimated cost and contract timing.
The complete interactive report includes the plan matrix, monthly projections, usage charts, every ranked plan, offer links, and Electricity Facts Labels.

Many free comparison sites are paid by electricity providers when customers enroll. We do not take a cent from providers—so the ranking answers to you, not to them.
A one-time $10 keeps it that way: no subscription, no provider deciding who shows up first, and no selling your data. You can also check a recent bill free before deciding whether the full report is worth it.
Providers do not pay us to feature or rank their plans. Ever.
Smart Meter Texas controls the five-day authorization. We delete retrieved usage after processing, retain the private report for up to 30 days, and never sell your data.
We never enroll or switch you. You decide what happens next.
No. It is an estimate—your past usage applied to a plan’s current terms. Your real bills will move with the weather and how much electricity you actually use each month. The average is for comparing plans on equal footing, not a guarantee of any single bill.
No. We never enroll you, switch you, or act as your agent. If you find a plan you like, you sign up directly with that retail electricity provider. We are a comparison tool, not a middleman.
No. We show estimated costs, and sometimes the plan you are already on may be the lowest-cost available option. You can review the free bill check before deciding whether the $10 report is worth it.
If you choose automatic retrieval, Smart Meter Texas holds the authorization and expires it automatically after five days. We delete the retrieved usage after processing. Your private report remains available for up to 30 days as a convenience, then it is deleted. We never sell your data or use it for provider marketing. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
