REPORT PRIVACY

Your information is temporary.

Effective 09-03-2026. This policy applies to Harris Industries LLC, doing business as Power Made Clear. We use the information you authorize only to provide, protect, and support the service you request.

Information we process

We process the information needed to create and deliver your electricity-plan report: your service address, electric-bill details, email address, electricity-usage history, report results, and limited technical, authorization, support, or transaction records needed to provide and protect the service.

If you use Smart Meter Texas, this may include a file you upload or information Smart Meter Texas provides after you approve access, such as 15-minute interval usage, the ESI ID, meter number, current retail electric provider identifier, agreement status and dates, and limited meter or premise details needed to locate and validate the correct service. We do not need your utility or Smart Meter Texas password or your complete payment-card number.

Smart Meter Texas authorization

Texas law states that meter data belongs to the customer. Power Made Clear treats it as customer-controlled information and accesses it only for the customer-approved comparison service. Manual uploads are processed only when you choose and submit a Smart Meter Texas file. If you choose automatic retrieval, Power Made Clear sends an energy-data-sharing request through Smart Meter Texas. We will not retrieve customer usage until Smart Meter Texas records your approval.

For a one-time report, we request Smart Meter Texas’s five-day agreement option. Smart Meter Texas creates, holds, and controls that authorization in its system and expires it automatically after five days; Power Made Clear does not keep a separate standing authorization. With the updated consent, we retrieve up to 14 months of 15-minute usage history to find 12 complete billing cycles, never before the move-in date you provide. If you have less history, we use only the available complete periods and identify partial comparisons. The five-day authorization duration is separate from the historical usage period. The request includes only the history and limited validation details needed to create the report you requested; it is not permission to retrieve unrelated readings, enroll you in an electricity plan, monitor your account, or create additional reports. You may decline the request or end it sooner through Manage Agreements in Smart Meter Texas. You may also ask Customer Support to end Power Made Clear’s access. Ending access stops future retrieval but does not undo processing already completed or remove records that Smart Meter Texas, Power Made Clear, or another service provider may retain for security, disputes, or law.

How we use and disclose information

We use customer information to create and deliver the requested report, provide support, process payment, prevent fraud and abuse, document authorization, maintain security, and comply with law. We disclose only what is needed to service providers performing those functions: Smart Meter Texas and its participating transmission and distribution utilities for authorization and usage retrieval; Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting, processing, private storage, tasks, security, and monitoring; Resend for transactional email; Stripe for payment; Google Workspace for support correspondence; and Cloudflare for domain, DNS, network services, and privacy-focused website analytics. We may also disclose information to the Public Utility Commission of Texas or another authority when legally required.

Retention

Anonymous service statistics

We may calculate rolling, grouped statistics from completed reports, such as how often a lower-cost option was found and ranges of estimated savings. The statistics do not contain names, contact information, addresses, meter data, bill amounts, report IDs, provider or plan names, or exact savings. We calculate them from private reports that are still within the 30-day access period, and expired reports automatically leave the rolling totals. We do not publish the statistics unless enough qualifying reports are included to avoid singling out one report, and we do not attempt to reidentify anonymous results.

We also count each successfully completed free bill check as one anonymous service-use event. That event contains no bill date, electricity usage, bill amount, provider, estimate, savings result, form entry, or customer identifier. Normal hosting security logs may separately contain limited technical request information.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on public informational and plan-catalog pages to understand aggregate visits, page views, referring sites, device and browser categories, approximate country, and page performance. Cloudflare states that this service does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. We do not load the analytics beacon on Smart Meter Texas intake, manual upload, checkout, report-generation, owner, or private-report pages, and we do not send customer form entries, addresses, email addresses, meter numbers, electricity usage, bill details, payment details, report identifiers, or private report links to the analytics service. We do not use website analytics for targeted advertising or sell analytics information.

No sale or unauthorized use

We do not sell personal data or proprietary customer information. We do not use it for targeted advertising, electricity-provider marketing, provider commissions, automatic enrollment, or decisions about credit, employment, insurance, housing, health care, or access to basic services. We do not release it without authorization except to service providers carrying out the requested service, to the Public Utility Commission of Texas, or when legally required.

Security safeguards

We use encrypted connections for customer and service traffic. Direct Smart Meter Texas access uses the registered credentials, certificates, mutual TLS, and approved static network address required for that interface. Stored report information is encrypted at rest by the cloud platform. Access is limited to authorized service identities and personnel who need it to operate or support the service; credentials are kept out of the public website and protected in secret storage; and operational monitoring is used to identify service and security problems. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Private-link security

The private report link can be used by anyone who has it. Do not forward, post, or share it with someone you do not want to view the report.

Payment

Stripe processes checkout information. Power Made Clear receives payment status and transaction references but does not receive your complete card number.

Your privacy choices

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you or request access, correction, or deletion by contacting Customer Support or support@powermadeclear.com. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information. No account is required. If we deny a request, you may reply with the subject Privacy Appeal and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Some records cannot be deleted immediately when retention is required for payments, disputes, security, complaints, or law.

Adults only

The report service is for customers who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date. Material changes will apply only after any notice or consent required by law.
