TERMS OF USE

Clear expectations.

Effective 09-03-2026. These terms govern the Power Made Clear comparison-report service.

Agreement and eligibility

By submitting a report request, you agree to these Terms, the Broker Disclosure, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy. You must be at least 18 and authorized to use the service address, bill, email address, and electricity-usage information you submit.

The service

Power Made Clear is a Texas-registered electricity broker (BR260183). We create a one-time automated estimated-cost comparison using customer-provided or customer-authorized historical usage and plan information available when the report is generated. You may connect Smart Meter Texas for automatic retrieval or provide a Smart Meter Texas CSV manually. If you use automatic retrieval, Smart Meter Texas holds the requested five-day authorization and expires it automatically after five days. The full service, duration, compensation, termination, affiliation, and complaint disclosures are in the Broker Disclosure.

Important limits

Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate information, choose the correct verified service address, and submit only information you own or are authorized to use. You are responsible for reviewing the report and provider documents before acting. We may reject, suspend, or cancel a request involving inaccurate information, misuse, security risk, or unlawful activity.

Payment and delivery

A report is generated before checkout. The displayed one-time price is the total charged by Power Made Clear, includes applicable Texas sales tax, and unlocks the completed report; valid promotions may reduce that total. There is no subscription. Stripe processes payment information. A private report link is emailed and remains available for up to 30 days. Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy.

Referral program

A regular-price paid report may receive a single-use referral link. A different person may use it for one discounted report. After the qualifying referred purchase is completed and remains valid, the original purchaser may receive the stated referral reward as a partial refund to the original payment method. Self-referrals, automated use, resale, duplicate-account abuse, or attempts to obtain repeated rewards are prohibited. A refunded, reversed, disputed, fraudulent, or otherwise ineligible payment may cancel the related reward. Referral rewards are never conditioned on a positive review, endorsement, or favorable statement. Anyone sharing a rewarded referral link publicly should clearly disclose that they may receive a reward.

Availability

Service may be delayed or unavailable because of customer input errors, third-party source outages, payment or email-provider outages, maintenance, or events outside our control. A customer who is charged but cannot access a report should contact support.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service and report are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that every market offer will remain available, that third-party information is error-free, or that a report will produce savings or a particular outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Power Made Clear’s total liability arising from a report or the service will not exceed the amount you paid for that report. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including applicable rights under consumer-protection law or liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

Texas law and customer rights

Texas law governs these Terms. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Fort Bend County, Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms requires a residential or small commercial customer to use arbitration or mediation, waives the right to complain to the Public Utility Commission of Texas, or limits any nonwaivable right.

Changes

We may update these Terms for future report requests. The effective date above identifies the version that applies. A material change will be presented before a new service request.
